Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Depresiasi Aset

Aset tetap (Fixed Asset) memiliki masa manfaat dalam jangka waktu tertentu (1 periode akuntansi). Semua jenis aset tetap kecuali tanah akan mengalami penurunan nilai (value) seiring dengan berlalunya waktu. Berkurangnya value berarti berkurangnya kapasitas aset tetap yang bersangkutan.

Faktor-faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Nilai Penyusutan:

1. Acquisition Cost

3. Economical Life Time (Umur Ekonomis)

The Causes of Fixed Asset Depreciation

1. Acquisition Cost
Acquisition Cost can be describe the costs accrued by a business in relation to the efforts involved in acquiring a new Assets.

2. Salvage Value
Salvage value is the estimated resale value of an asset at the end of its useful life. Salvage value is subtracted from the cost of a fixed asset to determine the amount of the asset cost that will be depreciated. Thus, salvage value is used as a component of the depreciation calculation. Salvage value is also known as residual value.

3. Economical Life Time
Economic life is the expected period of time during which an asset is useful to the average owner. The economic life of an asset may be determined in a number of ways:
– Physical Life:
The physical wear and tear that occurs in a machine over time may limit its economic life. Minor repairs are no longer sufficient to keep the machine in service, and a replacement lowers the company’s overall operating costs.
– Functional Life:
Related with the contribution of fixed asset during it useful life. Fixed Assets still considered have it’s functional life if those assets still contribute in company’s operational and production activities despite the physical condition is already inadequate.

Depreciation is roughly reflect the actual consumption of the fixed asset, so that the value of the asset has been reduced to its salvage value by the time its useful life is over.
